a protozoan disease (Tetrahymena corlissi) usually associated with guppies (Poecilia reticulata), other poeciliids and occasionally other aquarium fishes. Colonies of protozoans form small white patches, sometimes around the eyes, scales protrude, and internal organs may be affected
